Making It Personal

Social Media is the hottest thing since the World Wide Web was created and most of us use it personally.  In fact, you’re using a form of it right now.  So, it stands to reason that your business would profit from being involved with this new phenomenon – right?

Well, yeah…maybe.  Social media is important to businesses of all kinds, but don’t make the mistake of thinking that it has replaced every other form of communication.

Consider this:  there are 3.5 billion word-of-mouth conversations every day.  Ninety percent of them happen offline.

So, unless you own a mail-order business, there’s still a need to communicate with your customers face to face and give them personalized service.  Human beings still want human contact, and the businesses that can provide it have the best odds of prospering.
